This Sounds Like Exciting News For Officials!

On our radar this morning: a press release and newly discovered website for what appears to be a new organization for roller derby Referees and Officials. Check out ARROW, and let us know what you think.

“In the interest of building a strong world-wide officiating community, The Association of Rollerderby Referees and Officials Worldwide (ARROW) brings all disciplines of roller derby officials together to enhance available officiating resources, increase the quality and parity of officiating, and continue to grow the sport of roller derby through training, mentorship and standardization of and for officiating.

We will work together with all roller derby organizations and officials, to create new levels of standardization for the sport. In addition we will create and foment a new sense of unity among the officiating community. Most importantly, our goal is to function with complete openness to our members and the sport. Spanning from informal feedback, to more rigorous forms of evaluation, to our functioning as an organization, we believe communication and transparency are the only ways forward.”

If you’re with ARROW, and you’d like to tell us more, get in touch!
