A geek boy writes about gender equity in online communities and geek world

It’s a bit of a manifesto, but a great read from a conscious brother who’d like to see room for women in his community. “When it becomes common practice to shame lady geeks, it falls on us to change that perception, and that starts with maintaining a community dedicated to tolerance. Essentially, we have to adapt and redefine what it means to be a geek, so that not only is our culture about what we love, but who we love as well.”
